WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. – Malik Nabers ran routes at full speed in individual drills at New York Giants training camp this week, 10 months after he tore the ACL in his right knee in Week 4 of last season. Neither the receiver nor the team attached a return date to it.
Full Speed In Drills, Short Of Full Practice
Nabers worked on consecutive days at The Greenbrier, taking individual drills and on-air work with no defense on the field. He is not a full participant, and the Giants have not said when he will be one. Asked about a timeline, Nabers said, “No target dates. Just continuing to listen to the training staff.”
Coach John Harbaugh, running his first camp in New York after being hired in January, put no date on it either. “He looked good. He’s got a process going,” Harbaugh said Wednesday.
The recovery has run two operations deep. Nabers tore the ACL and the meniscus in the second quarter of Jaxson Dart’s first NFL start, against the Los Angeles Chargers, then had a follow-up procedure this spring to clear scar tissue and address stiffness in the knee. Ten months puts him inside the normal nine-to-12-month ACL window, but the second surgery is why the calendar stopped being a guide.
The Production The Giants Have Been Without
Nabers, the sixth overall pick in 2024, caught 109 passes for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie, a Giants single-season reception record. He had 16 catches for 251 yards and two touchdowns through the first three games of 2025, a similar per-game pace, before the knee gave out in Week 4.
New York played the rest of that season without him. That absence still shapes how this offense gets priced, and it carries all the way out to the futures boards at USA Gambling Sites.
What New York’s +7000 Already Assumes
An injury story becomes a betting story where it touches a price, and Nabers touches two.

The Giants sit 23rd of 32 on DraftKings’ Super Bowl LXI board. That +7000 implies about 1.4 percent, which is what the price assumes rather than what New York’s actual chance is, and the gap between the two is the entire bet. Dallas, the Week 1 opponent, is +2500 on the same July 28 board.
That number was posted the day before camp opened, so it carries no read on Nabers in pads. A team price that long already assumes a bad season, and priced that way, a healthy Nabers in September adds more to a Super Bowl LXI futures number than a hurt Nabers takes off it.
That is the shape of most camp-injury moves. The long prices drift on health news, the short ones barely blink, and the futures boards across the Sportsbooks we track tend to move together on a receiver at this stage of a rehab.
The Comeback Player of the Year market is the cleaner read, because it prices the player directly. The +1300 comes off a July 16 board at BetMGM, one of the regulated books live in the States With Online Sports Betting, and it was taken nearly two weeks before Nabers stepped on a practice field, so it is not a reaction to this week.
It sits well behind Patrick Mahomes at +185 and Kyler Murray at +550 on that same board. Mahomes was cleared for full camp participation on July 24, and Murray has been taking first-team snaps in Minnesota. The award rewards volume, and volume requires a Week 1 start. The missing target date is exactly what a +1300 payout is compensating for.
Dallas Visits Sept. 13
The Giants host the Cowboys on Sept. 13, more than six weeks out, and New York’s Week 1 number has been on the board since opening lines posted in May.
Harbaugh has 10 practices scheduled during the Giants’ stay in West Virginia, six of them open to the public and the last of those on Aug. 7. The marker to watch is not another day of routes on air but the first snap Nabers takes against a live defense.
