Just as in Delaware, BetRivers Poker is the only regulated online poker room in West Virginia — it did not merely enter the market, it created it, dealing the first real-money online poker hands in state history on June 10, 2025. Two states matter by their absence. New Jersey, the third leg of the classic tri-state poker market, is a stated BetRivers target — widely reported to be lined up under a Golden Nugget license — but was not live at the time of writing in 2026. Because New Jersey is already an MSIGA member, its players could fold straight into the existing four-state pool on day one, which is why this launch would substantially widen BetRivers’ reachable population. A four-state network is the single biggest thing separating BetRivers from a stranded single-state room, so it is worth explaining plainly.
