The Coast’s First Gain Since May

The commission’s Coastal region won $134,231,738 in September, against $124,644,589 in September 2025 and $126,241,632 in September 2024, according to the commission’s year-end tables for those years. It is the region’s first year-over-year increase since May and its largest since January’s 8.1%.

June, July and August each finished below the same month of 2025, with August the weakest at 4.6% lower, so September breaks a slide. In July, Mississippi casino revenue slipped and the Coast fell 1.8%. Month to month, the Coast gave back 1.1% from August’s $135,693,989.

The Coast Supplied 68.6% Of The State’s Revenue

Statewide, casinos won $195,596,408, up 4.5% from $187,217,586 and above September 2024’s $190,672,478. The Coast’s $9.6 million increase was larger than the state’s $8.4 million gain, which means the Central and Northern regions combined finished below last September.

Mississippi licenses no online casino, so the report counts only dollars won on casino floors. Gambling in Mississippi therefore rides on the Coast’s properties, a different setup from the online-driven markets among USA gambling sites.

Table Hold Rose 33% And Added More Than Slots

Coast slot win rose 4.8% to $106.40 million, while table hold rose 33.0% to $23.84 million and contributed more of the gain, $5.9 million against $4.9 million for slots, according to the commission’s slots win and tables hold reports. The casinos kept 19.5% of the money players exchanged for chips, up from 17.2% a year earlier and 15.6% in August, so the table gain rests on a hold rate that swings from month to month.

Nine-Month Totals Still Favor The Coast

Through September, the Coast has won $1,216,299,127, up 1.7% from $1,196,157,007 a year earlier by the commission’s 2025 table. Statewide revenue totals $1,817,121,925, down 0.8% from $1,831,321,942, so the state remains behind even after its strongest September of the three years in the commission’s tables.

The commission notes that all figures are subject to amendment for adjustments made to prior months. It dated its September reports Oct. 15 and its August reports Sept. 15 and 16, which points to October’s figures in mid-November.
